Coweta
County Humane Society is the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society-Shelter
Rescue. The Newnan-Coweta Humane Society-Shelter Rescue is a non-profit organization
founded in 1997. This animal shelter is focused on rescuing, arranging foster
home space and finding homes for a limited number of these pets. The potential
pets are also advertised through their website and at through a cable TV show
called "Adopt-A-Pet". Animals are also offered for adoption at the local
PetSmart in Newnan, GA. The adoption process was taken at a higher level in when
MARTHA a adoption and rescue transport vehicle was purchased in 2004. MARTHA allows
the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society-Shelter Rescue to visit schools to help educate
children about the importance of being a responsible pet owner and to help with
rescue transport.
